I am thrilled to announce a new partnership with the Jennifer Perlmutter Gallery in Lafayette, CA! You all know that using original art in interior designed spaces is my jam - so it is with great joy that I let you know about this new collaboration!
We will be showcasing different artists in my studio as part of the ongoing promotion of emerging artists featured in both the JPG@TheBank and the JPG flagship locations in downtown Lafayette. Every few months, I’ll be sharing new art installations in my studio that not only speak to my heart, but also in an effort to remind you that ‘Art makes a room!’
And of course, these beautiful pieces are for sale!
The artist featured here is Jacqueline Neuwirth. Growing up outside New York City, the colors, tastes and textures of Manhattan’s diverse neighborhoods offered early inspiration. Neuwirth studied at Parsons, Art Students League and the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. She has a BFA from Boston Museum School of Fine Arts and Tufts University. She moved West to pursue graduate work at SF State University.
At first glance, I was struck by the use of color in this piece, titled Lotus (size 42 x 56). But those sweet hummingbirds captured my attention. Neuwirth says “In my most recent work, I incorporated my love of luminous color and symbolic narrative. New work draws on rich metaphors in nature. Several canvases explore the the beauty, strength and fragility of hummingbirds.”
How cool is that? :)
Both of the above pieces (sized 20x20) are so stunning in person. Neuwirth calls these works “colorfield paintings” and says that in these, “I explore the atmospheric effects of expanses of color, often with a horizon line, and by suggestion, beyond it to infinity”.
Please contact me or the Jennifer Perlmutter Gallery for pricing and specifics. These can be purchased as individual pieces or as part of a collection. The collection price will provide a purchase savings.
