This is the final week before the BIG REVEAL of my new living room! Welcome to Week #5 of the One Room Challenge, where featured designers and guest designers transform a space in 6 weeks!
If you missed the last few weeks, you can catch up here: Week #1, Week #2, Week #3, Week #4.
I’ve been in the process of making my living room reflect the colors and the art that I love. The colors are inspired by my childhood growing up in Honolulu, Hawaii! This week it’s been all about arranging decorative touches, “shopping my house” and bookcase styling.
One thing I haven’t mentioned is my mantle in the living room — I did a little “shopping in my house” and decided to move this piece of art that was in my dining room to be front and center above the fireplace.
This is one of my favorite pieces in my art collection. I purchased it a few years ago at the Hunters Point Shipyard Artists Open Studios — (if you are in the San Francisco Bay Area - this is a really fun event!).
The scale of the piece is perfect for the mantle and I’ve selected a few decorative vases from Crate & Barrel to complement it. I love the texture and sculptural-ness of these vessels!
The photographer is scheduled for tomorrow! Stayed tuned for the reveal next week!
Thank you SO MUCH for following along these last few weeks!
