Hi there! I came across these fabulous, oversized wooden beads recently while shopping with a client in San Francisco at Shabby Chic on Sacramento Street. We were enamored with the rustic and timeless look of wooden prayer beads, and instantly thought of many ways to use them in interior design. Slung on a door (like above), nestled in a decorative tray on a coffee table, draped on a table scape as part of a centerpiece or hung on a wall as art....the ideas are endless! Welcome to the latest installment of Fantastic Finds for your Home Decor!
1. Decorative Find
The prayer beads (above) come in other variations from Shabby Chic. I love them all!
2. Furniture Find
I installed this chest in a client's home last week and it is truly more beautiful in person than it is in the photo. It provides great storage along with texture (linen panels) and artful elements. It can work in a traditionally or transitionally designed home. (And, it's not super expensive! Yay!)
3. Art Find
Do you have a large wall in your home that you want to fill with art, but don't want to make a huge investment?
I love the art of Lola Donaghue, from Galway, Ireland. Her work is found on Etsy.com. She is a stunning abstract artist, but she sells her giclee prints at very affordable prices. Her work is phenomenal!
4. Pillow Find
Happiness is an artful pillow. Minted.com not only offers stationery and art prints, but now includes pillows, curtains, lampshades and table linens. I love this design by Beth Schneider. It comes in a variety of colors!
