Hi again! Summer just ended and I am so sad! Lucky for us, in Northern California, it doesn’t start to get too chilly until November!
This summer has been filled with some wonderful projects, one of which I just had professionally photographed and I’m looking forward to sharing it with you! (For those of you who follow me on Instagram - we just shot project #dreamclient!)
You all know that I totally believe art makes a room. A well designed interior space should always, always, always include a piece of art that you love.
Earlier this summer I connected with an artist on Instagram and we ended up having a wonderful phone conversation — (I love how art can bring people together!) and I want to introduce you to her today!
The artist is Sydney Hall. She is based in Northern California and has a colorful expressionist style. She is available for commissions too! This piece spoke to me, because it reminds me of the lily pond in the center of the school that I went to, growing up in Hawaii! :) She has so many beautiful works on her site, you must check her out!
If I was using this piece in an interior design project, I would definitely add a textural seagrass ottoman, a simple luminous gold light fixture, jewel tone pillows and a natural wood bowl!
On another note, I have some BIG NEWS! I will be participating in the One Room Challenge as a Guest Participant. The One Room Challenge (ORC) is a biannual event where featured and guest designers transform one room in 6 weeks! Follow along, starting October 3rd!
