Have you ever considered painting a ceiling with a bright or moody color?
I recently painted the ceiling in my guest bath a moody blue/green along with the walls, trim and moulding (in the above photo) and I'm really happy with it!
Paint is the easiest way to change a look in interior design and very affordable too. Color on the ceiling does not necessarily make a room look smaller -- in my opinion, it adds drama and brings the eye up!
I recommend a painted ceiling in either a bedroom or a bathroom. It's a smaller visual commitment than doing a dining, living or family room. Choose a color that is repeated in your interior like this pink echoed on the ceiling from custom bedding below:
Or, add a bright pop of color to a neutral design scheme like this gorgeous bathroom:
Either way, a painted ceiling can be a show stopper and make your space look visually interesting!
