Hi there! I'm so excited that January is almost done! It's my least favorite time of the year! I'm so ready for lightness and brightness and extended daylight!
I've been working on some fun projects and find myself specifying beautiful coffee tables over and over from Bernhardt. The company is over 125 years old, made in the USA and has a fascinating history, in addition to providing a great quality product.
More often than not, the coffee table dictates the space during the interior design of a living room or family room....It's the heart of the space along with the rug, and I build my designs off of those two elements.
I thought I'd share with you, my three favorite coffee tables from Bernhardt and a few styling ideas. I hope they inspire you!
The coffee table is called the Dubois and features black raffia with metal ferrules in a satin gold finish. It is so gorgeous! It would look great styled over a Beni Ourain Moroccan Rug (click here for more info on the rug) with that beautiful acrylic tray featuring a glam and haze mix of faux gold foil, blush pink and black. The Chanel coffee table book has a classic and timeless cover image. Pump up the space with a mix of blush and leopard pillows for a little Hollywood style!
The Bancroft glass and brass coffee table can work in almost any space. I totally love it paired with the abstract painted tray (such a cool way to bring art into your interiors!) and the pattern play of the cover of Rebecca Atwood's book. (I love her designs!) This whole combo including those awesome pillows would look great styled with this gorgeous rug from Loloi - Taupe/Champagne Bryce Cowhide rug. (Click here for more info on the rug.)
One of my all time faves, the Brielle coffee table features Ivory lacquer and patinated brass. I love how the shape and boldness of the black and brass trays look along with the richly hued photography on the cover of the Foraged Flora book and the colorful pillows. This whole grouping would look amazing styled with the Elise rug by Surya -- and it's super affordable! Click here for more info on the rug.
Thanks for stopping by! Stay tuned in the next few months as I'll be sharing five new projects that I'm having photographed this week by the uber talented Kathryn MacDonald. And, I'm off to the Design Bloggers Conference in March. I'm looking forward to seeing all of my designer friends and listening the fantastic line-up of speakers including style icon Carolyn Roehm!
