Hi there! I'm back with another before and after of the studio space!
As you may know, I opened up a design studio in Lafayette, CA in January. It's a small space, so I had to be creative in terms of maximizing the square footage to provide adequate work space (like a large oversized work table); storage for all of my "design sample" inventory; an area to display the furniture line that I'm representing (Robin Bruce); and showcasing samples of upholstery work done by my office mates (Jesennie's Upholstery).
Here it is before:
I removed all of the cabinetry on the right (I'll post that next!), painted and changed the flooring (see previous blog post here) -- added a drapery panel to the doorway on the left, to hide a storage bookcase and mini-fridge (so glad I have a fridge to house my personal stash of Girl Scout cookies!!)
And now, here it is!! The fabric for the draperies is by Victoria Hagan and comes in a few other yummy colors. I love how it looks so spring like!
The large work table is by Lexington and is actually a kitchen island! Comfortable and affordable stools allow me to work side by side with my clients when creating space plans. (Email me for dimensions and price if you are interested in either of those items!)
The GORGEOUS art is by Bridgette Thornton. Custom framed and available for purchase in the studio. Here's another photo of the same space with a different piece of art (also by Bridgette Thornton and also available in the studio)....It's amazing how art can define a space isn't it?
Thanks for stopping by! Does your space need a refresh?
